Bali Adventure Tours and The John Fawcett Foundation organized a charity event that comprised of eye examinations, prescribed eyeglasses administration and cataract surgery. The event was held on the April 19 and focused on community members in Kedewatan and nearby villages. This charity event was conducted in the Community Centre of Kedewatan Village. A total of 229 participants were registered for eye examinations, and eight patients with cataract went through surgery. The next day, volunteers from Bali Adventure Tours and The John Fawcett Foundation visited two elementary schools in the villages of Kedewatan and Melinggih. The purpose of the visit was to conduct eyes-screening test and administration of prescribed eyeglass for students who need it. During the visits, an approximatlyover 250 students from both schools were engaged and got their eyes examined. Organized by Bali Adventure Tours and The John Fawcett Foundation, this event also had support from the regency government of Gianyar, Gianyar’s Youth Organization, and the Ophthalmologist Association of Bali.
