A quick guide on where to go on any particular night in the Canggu area. [UPDATED April 2025]
First, every sunset most of the Canggu community heads to the beach to chill out for the last hours of the day. There are a whole bunch of choices, which you can find on this link, but what we are talking about on this page is the after-dark nightlife of Canggu. Read on friends.
When it comes to parties, you are going to find something going on every night of the week in Canggu.
Finns Beach Club on Berawa Beach literally pumps every day of the week, particularly around sunset, but also through the day and night. They have a slew of DJs spinning popular electronic music every night, good food is on the table, and it is generally rammed. Expect a mainly Aussie, but also mixed Asian and European crowd.
Disguised as a large pizza joint (the pizza is incredible btw), Luigi’s Hot Pizza kicks off the start of the week with the PNNY crew every Monday night from 8 – 12pm playing eclectic house beats to jackin’ techno. If you are up for a late-night boogie, head down to the beach end of Batu Bolong any night of the week, where Sandbar is crowded pumping the hip hop commercial sounds from around midnight.

Tuesdays are quite laid-back. The main event is normally at Desa Kitsune, sister ship of Savaya in Canggu, where they have major DJ artists and parties every Tuesday. Miss Fish is pretty much rammed every night except Mondays (closed) with DJs and the Canggu fashionable crowd in attendance. The new Shady Pig has become very popular in the same area – open from early evening with great cocktails etc but it doesn’t really start firing until 11pm. Across the road, on the other corner you can find the three story Mesa Bali. It is a top venue featuring lots of Afro house and hip hop, mainly.
Wednesdays are one of the busier nights of the week, with people all over the streets. Wednesday starts at Old Man’s, get down there for the beer pong comp. Loads of fun, loads of people there and across the road at Mexicola Canggu. If you are looking for some decent music and times back in Berawa, try Bella Wednesdays kitchen sessions and Ladies Night at Jade, they are pretty busy options. Backyards can also pull a crowd, across the road from the Tugu Hotel. Later at night you could end up at Sandbar where commercial music goes on until about 4 – 5am.

By the time your hangover from Wednesday is over, it’s time for Thursday night. Mesa Bali has their big night with the Russians. Babushka brings their own DJs and crowd. Shady Pig has a special night with Shammui and co, and let’s not forget Miss Fish. Then over at Batu Bulong, Old Man’s and Mexicola rock out the party from around 11pm. Every night till late, find commercial hip hop etc, at Sandbar.

If you’re looking for a dope Friday night party, there are several options! Black Sand is always busy on Friday evenings with early special priced brews. The Lawn Friday nights go from 9pm till 1am with half price on selected drinks and a range of disco, house, RnB and hip-hop tunes. Deus lightens up the night with live stand-up comedy every Friday evening. Morabito Art Villa in Berawa has a regular Friday evening party with big name, mainly underground DJs – starts early. Friday is also Desa Kitsune’s time to shine with major DJs from all over the world playing at the mainly outdoor venue. Vault is a safe bet on a Friday later, always supplying urban hip hop. The crowd can also be found at Miss Fish, Jade, or Mesa Bali sipping cocktails and moving to the beat’s from 10pm till late. And as per usual, Sandbar picks up the late-night, young, party crowd to end another wild night on the beach in Canggu.

Saturday nights usually depend on whether there are any headliners at the clubs. One of the biggest parties on the island are La Brisa‘s Basement Love x PNNY or other events, bringing some of the more renown house & techno acts to the beach club on a bi-weekly schedule (sometimes longer). The usuals in Berawa; Miss Fish, Mesa Bali, The Shady Pig and Jade, are all good bets and usually pull crowds on a Saturday from 11pm till late. Regular events include Vault’s hip hop nights, and Atlas Super Club with special events and regular nights.

Sunday’s are actually a lot of fun. Deus are the pioneers of Sunday nights in Canggu. They boast all kinds of beers on tap, a large crowd of expats, tourists and locals with live music action. Deus also hosts Tuesday nights with free tattoos and tacos. Later you can head to the beach and Sandbar till you drop.
That wraps up our tour through Canggu, remember to stay safe, wear a helmet and don’t drive if you’re drinking – gojek is pretty cheap. Have fun out there!
