The Beat was in contact this week with Aini Abdul, the Creative Director of IMAJINATION, a Bali-based creative platform dedicated to building people and connection through music and storytelling. Their latest music project is garnering interest all over the place so we felt compelled to ask Aini for more info.
“We recently released a track titled Paradise on Earth – Swarga Maring Skala, which blends gamelan, Kecak chants, and traditional Balinese vocals within an immersive electronic composition. It’s a carefully crafted piece that channels the island’s cultural essence through a modern sound and (honestly!) our love letter to Bali,” she told The Beat.
Behind the music production is famed Russian producer, VADM, who is now based in Bali, and has had releases on prominent labels like Armada Music and Ellum Audio and and support from heavyweights in the DJ world, such as Solomun, John Digweed, Tiësto and Armin van Buuren. He was aided by local Balinese DJ producer/club manager Jaya Sanjaya, and on vocals is Ayu Citta, who wrote the lyrics and lends an authentic Balinese sound to the track.
