New Year’s Eve is just around the corner and we look set to actually celebrate it properly both here and around the world for the first time in three years.
We will update this page as events come in but this is what we have so far.
Kuta and Seminyak Beaches are definite hot spots, for locals and tourists, to see the New Year in. Fireworks should be blasting everywhere this year and there is no better place to be than right on the beach to check them out. Most restaurants will be offering special NYE dinner menus and will be full to the brim. After the countdown the smaller and larger bars and clubs will be pumping all over town so just get out there and amongst it. Originally from Kazakhstan, a selector and producer, Nazira is one of the main women behind the underground scene in there and as quoted by Resident Advisor is «an indelible piece of the New East movement and a shining example post-Soviet experimental experimentation within the wondrous electronic underground». Nazira is a frequent guest at Berghain, Amsterdam’s Dekmantel Festival, De School and Munich’s Blitz. She’s a resident of Berlin’s Room 4 Resistance, and has also recently performed at Mutabor, Present Perfect Festival, Draaimolen and ://about blank. She’s also a founder of the home-based ZVUK collective and a series of DYI raves, where she’s curated Boiler Room last year. Her sets have been featured on Resident Advisor, HӦR, Pitchfork and Mixmag, and always fuse up the dancefloor with acidic, psychedelic and greasy four on the floor, but also stretching way beyond the genre’s confines. Desoner’s Anelle, Crunch and Karim T, Les and Adil of Rabitza, and El of Roots United, will be supporting with some bulky breakbeat, electro, bass and more.
