Editorial Thursday 3 April

You would have to say the wet season arrived late this year. The rain last night (Weds night) was very reminiscent of something we’d get in the middle of the rainy season, which this year never really arrived. And after last year’s driest dry season I can recall after almost 3 decades living here, I am not complaining. We need the water for sure. However, as we all know on this island, with the good always comes the bad, and there is some severe flooding going on around some parts of the Denpasar area. Let’s hope that all dries out fast.

I was down at Tropical Temptation for the first time last Friday night for their TOTEM event. I must say I was very impressed with it all. Great service, great energy and great times. Maybe they could do well to move the stairs and open up the beach area, but I’m sure easier said than done. Try it out next time you are in the Melasti Beach/Uluwatu area.

If anyone is interested, we send out The Beat Update email every week. If you would like to receive all the events info for the next week and other stories, straight to your mailbox please sign up here.
