A couple of years ago there was a visiting DJ that played at Red Ruby I had never heard of, which, let’s face it, happens quite often, but I noticed on this occasion there were a lot of clicks on the website event page and ticket link. I recall I even contacted the Red Ruby manager, Lukas, saying to him, watch out I think this show’s going to be a big one. That Friday night we trundled down to the home of house and techno to take a look after an evening of DJing at Kasera. It was about 1am when we entered and the place was wall to wall packed. Probably the busiest I had ever seen Red Ruby, and especially at that early hour. When Stella Bossi eventually came on and stood behind the decks with her defiant stare, and cheek grin at the crowd, there was a rush to the stage like I had never seen before, with men and women, hands in the air, literally screaming as she pressed play, at which point all mayhem broke loose. The ensuing pounding beats of her famed techno set didn’t take too long to wear me down – I think I prefer things a little more chilled – but there were moments, especially when the RR dancers, dressed in their avant-garde BSM outfits came on stage, that got the place into a frenzy. What a night.
Anyway, my point is, German techno queen and fashion icon, Stella Bossi is back again this Saturday night at Red Ruby. This is sure to be another huge night and I recommend you buying a ticket now before it’s too late.
