Last night we were at the Grand Opening of the new restaurant at Desa Kitsune in Canggu with a crowd of industry people and friends of Kitsune and Savaya. The booze and snacks were flowing freely, which always makes a grand occasion even better. There must have been at least 200 invited guests along and they were quite rigorous at the door making sure who was getting in. One thing I did notice, besides the fine architectural details of the building and excellent and creative Mediterranean/Latin American snacks, was the amount of people I did not know, greatly outnumbering the ones I did. I suppose Kitsune and Canggu itself being the relative new kids on the block, one wouldn’t expect anything else.
Meanwhile, I have noticed recently some people are just so full of themselves in this town. As if god-like in their manner they strut about like kings and queens of their own porridge. All I can say is enjoy it if it does turn you on, no problem, but being a little more humble and gracious goes a long way in making this world a better place. Maybe you should try it. It won’t burst your nightlife bubble, don’t worry.
So, the party goes on…. There is always so much going on around this island. It’s crazy. Tonight, in particular, is nothing less than incredible, with so many classy shows on around town. Check the Events pages above for what’s on this weekend.
