Ok, so on top of everything else going on around us lately; weird politics, rubbish, global tensions, this weekend we have Friday the Thirteenth and then the day right after, Valentine’s Day. I don’t think it gets any more Goth, nor EMO than that. So, yeah, keep ya head down, guitars poised and maybe just wear black to fit into this mysterious moment wherever you go.
Of course, there is plenty on this weekend with Valentine’s Day being part of it. It is one of the bigger days in Bali entertainment and this year is no different. Tonight though we will be heading to Sanur to a little live music gathering being held in a private house (I believe). Maybe that is a sign of where the live music scene is nowadays – can’t even fill a living room, or is it a sign of evolution – giving a select few an intimate dose of what they crave? I guess live music began in someones living room, or maybe cave, long ago, so it could also be considered a return to simpler ways. I must say, not a bad thing in regard to this modern social world we’re now living in. I’m sworn to secrecy as to where that event is being held tonight but if you sent a DM maybe we could sort you out.
Photos Above: We dropped down to the old Anantara, now called Ocean Grand Beach, for a Fashion TV event last Friday. Sammy Sax going mad with the gals was a highlight. Meeting up with some old Seminykak friends was another. Later we moved up to Morabito where Papü and Nacho Corominas were spinning some magic. A few too many of Sally Se’s Vibe tequila, Blue Agarve had me wiped out and home rather early. Not a bad partee drop and I believe quite inexpensive.
Have a good weekend you all!
