We are now closing in on the Festive Season fast. It’s possibly a great time to rest up before the mayhem kicks in and take a stroll with the dogs along the beach, or just along the road, like I do mostly. That’s a lot easier nowadays in Berawa at least. Last weekend they finally asphalted the entire Jalan Semat Raya from the pasar to the lapangan field, or Shady Pig corner, which (almost) brings the road works to a close around Berawa that have been in full force for what seems most of this year. But you know, I must say, it’s pretty good. I can now walk my dog around the streets without fear of being hit by a truck, or some crazed tourist on a G-MAX – well, of course that is still very possible! Take it easy on the raods, folks. But yeah, it is noce to see some progress around the place. Thank you to those powers that be.
Photos Above: Yes, I love to see some new asphalt in the morning. That’s the main drag in Berawa, resurfaced and ready to go. Other pics are from our friend’s Off Format party in Oshom Resort in Nuanu. A truly amazing spot with tree houses, spacious villas and right on the beach. Perfect place for a party. This event went late, long and with an impressive line-up of selectors – here above Papü and Hoda, and the next is never too far away.
We have been busy lately developing a new app for The Beat Bali. I think it is well overdue, but having said that I always thought apps were a little bit like smoke and mirrors, more hype than substance, but the reality is they do work better, cleaner, faster than the website with all its hang ups and troubles. So, yes, with the help of our trusty old time graphics meister, Mr Teguh, we are almost there. There’s still some testing to do, but we’re now very close to a release. I’m sure you are all very excited! BTW if anyone does want to talk to Teguh about their project, please get in touch at your pleasure. More about that soon.
