The Bali Fashion Trend 2024 event, which will be held on 27 – 29 September, 2024 at TS Suites Bali, is poised to be a dazzling showcase of the island’s and Indonesia’s dynamic fashion scene. Set in the heart of Seminyak, the event, organised by the Indonesian Fashion Chamber (IFC) Chapter Denpasar, will once again bring together top designers from around the region, local emerging talents, and fashion enthusiasts from all over the planet to celebrate the latest trends blending tradition with modernity.
Attendees can expect runway shows featuring sustainable collections, innovative designs, and vibrant Balinese and Indonesian motifs interpreted for a global audience. The event will also include pop-up outlets from the designers at the TS Suites’ fashion store called TStore, making it a must-visit for anyone passionate about fashion and culture. TS Suites’ chic and contemporary setting will provide the perfect backdrop for this fashionable affair, highlighting Bali’s unique position in the global fashion landscape.
The Beat spoke to Dwi Iskandar, the Chairman of the BFT 2024 Committee, about the important things happening at the event.
What do you think the event highlights will be this year?
The highlight of Bali Fashion Trend 2024 has to be the freedom to express our unique styles as designers. The event, held in the culturally rich and diverse setting of Bali, allows designers to explore new horizons and redefine creativity. This freedom fosters innovation, encourages bold experimentation, and celebrates the diversity that makes Bali such an inspiring place for fashion.
How many designers will be involved and where are they from?
We will have about 50 designers form Jakarta, Surabaya, Malang, Jogjakarta , Makassar, Bandung, Malaysia and Bali, of course.
You have been holding this event now for a few years, what has come out of it for the designers so far? Have there been any success stories?
Yes, the BFT has been running since 2016. We had a two year break due to pandemic and started again last year. Other than great exposure they get the chance to show their wares to an international market. The greatest success has come from designers finding international buyers.
Are there pop up stores at the event?
We work together with TStore, so our designers will have the chance to sell their collections there.
The fashion shows are the main part of BFT. When will the schedule be posted and what time do they start and finish?
There will be two shows every day – the first show will start at 6 pm – 7 pm, the second show will run from 8 to 9 pm. That is Friday to Sunday evenings, 27 – 29 September. There will be 8 to 10 designers in each show.
How about the entrance, how do people get a ticket to the event?
