Designers and Government Ready to Make Indonesia the Center for MUSLIM Fashion

A total of 28 Indonesian Moslem wear designers were welcomed by Indonesian president, Jokowi, at the Presidential Palace of Bogor on April 26 to discuss about the concrete programs to develop the Moslem fashion industry in Indonesia. On this meeting, chairman of Indonesian Fashion Chamber (IFC), also one of Bali’s fashion shining lights, Ali Charisma expressed his hope that Indonesia would become the center for modest fashion, following the fact that Indonesia is a country with the largest Muslim population in the world, well-known for its Muslim fashion design. Additionally, Indonesian Muslim fashion style is also seen suitable for the international market, especially for those in Middle East, Europe and Asia. Furthermore, positive response from Indonesian government is hoped to be a solution to improve the quality standard of Muslim fashion style, as well as supporting the designers to implement their programs. Ali Charisma is also behind the Fashion Trend show at TS Suites next week.
