Yoga with Heart: The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali Focuses on Wellness to Raise Funds for UNICEF

The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali is proud to announce that this year’s UNICEF Check Out For Children charity initiative on Saturday, 18th November 2017 was another overwhelming success. In the spirit of giving back, the resort hosted an afternoon of renewing yoga-inspired activities and raised over IDR 75 million for children in need.

Resident Wellness Specialist, Jitendra Pokhriyal, collaborated with with Anjasmara Prasetya, Indonesia’s leading yoga celebrity for this worthy event. It started off with a Wellness Rendezvous in the resort’s Beachfront Temple Garden. Healthy living enthusiasts were invited to connect over afternoon tea and a selection of SuperFoodsRx in the company of Jitendra and Anjasmara.

Later in the afternoon, more than 170 participants gathered in the darkened ambience of Nusantara Hall for an intuitive 90-minute class led by Jitendra and Anjasmara. The first session This involved gentle yoga stretching and controlled breathing exercises to promote physical and spiritual well-being. Incorporating a session of guided meditation, the class was a sensory awakening experience with a special emphasis on universal consciousness. During the event, there was a mini wellness bazaar with interactive stalls plus many great prizes were given away in a series of lucky draws.

The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali has continuously supported the UNICEF Check Out For Children charity for the past 21 years. All proceeds raised from the Yoga With Heart event will now be channeled directly to a project in the Asia Pacific region that gives children access to clean water and basic sanitation.
