Scholars Of Sustenance Indonesia, Bali’s wonderful Food Rescue subsidiary of SOS Global foundation, is at it again. Recently two new orphanages, Sidhu Astu and Yapendra Sanglah, were added as recipients of good nutrition. From their offices in Jalan Dewi Sri in Kuta, SOS Bali redistributes surplus food from commercial entities to the needy all over Bali. Lately SOS has grown dramatically as excess food from commercial outlets such as hotels is plentiful on our beautiful island. Instead of rotting away generating methane gasses, this excess food fills hungry stomachs. It’s good for our people and environment. Hotels cannot avoid food waste in serving customers, so we encourage all hotels to provide this food to those in need.
