Reimagining Forgotten Colors

Valiant Budi and Alam Taslim get together at Uma Seminyak to Reimagine Forgotten Colors
Forgotten Colors is writer, Valiant Budi’s 13th book, and has been a medium of recovery from a stroke he had in 2015.
As a stroke survivor, Valiant Budi voices the anxiety and symbolizes the struggles of recovery through various characters in Forgotten Colors.
The novel is about Arka, a painter who has a stroke himself after starting an art project painting 1000 park benches.
Since then, Arka often dreams of weird things, seeing scary creatures and rooms of torture in various city parks. These dreams make it difficult to recover.
Assisted by a lover, Arka traces back his memories. Those memories have been adapted by Alam Taslim, an illustrator and also the founder of Igor Satu Mangkok, in this mini exhibition:
Reimagining Forgotten Colors:
