The annual surf film festival, Ombak Bali is back for its 11th year, this time taking place at The Lawn in Canggu on September 21 – 22. Dive head first into board-riding culture, explore personal stories, final frontiers and of course, epic waves with those who share a love all things wet and salty! Expect to see some of the most awe-inspiring films that go beyond the waves with highlights like ‘Trouble, the Lisa Anderson Story’ featuring one of surfing’s few transcendent stars who started surfing at 13 against her parents will and went on to become a 4x world champion. Other films include ‘Freddy, Si yo puedo tu puedes’ an incredible film about a boy born with one arm and no legs who is now competing in the World Adaptive Surfing Championship and ripping it up! ‘A la mar’ covering Peru’s call to collectively take action to protect their surf breaks, and ‘Shaka’ following a snowboarding champion as he prepares for the mighty break of Jaws. The whole event is free of charge and starts daily at sunset, get in early to get a good seat!
