Francois K is the DJs DJ, a true master of the art and a man whom the term legend can genuinely be attributed to, Francois K has been at the heart of dance music since the very beginning.
Cutting his teeth as a DJ at legendary New York clubs such as Studio 54, Better Days, The Loft, AM/PM, Zanzibar, and Paradise Garage, where he filled in for resident Larry Levan.
Collaborating with Levan in the studio he went on to become one of the most in demand remixers & producers on both sides of the Atlantic, working with acts such as U2, Kraftwerk, The Cure, Mick Jagger, Diana Ross, Dinosaur L, Mariah Carey, Madonna, Mary J Blige, Dee-Lite and many others.
By the mid 90’s he’d returned to DJ’ing and was a regular fixture at the Sound Factory, Vinyl & Twilo in NYC whilst his fame took him around the world, notably Ministry of Sound & The End in London, Angels of Love & Cocorico in Italy & the groundbreaking Club Yellow in Tokyo, Japan.
In 1996 he co-founded a Sunday afternoon party called BODY & SOUL with fellow DJs Danny Krivit & Joe Claussell in his hometown NYC, redefining the New York night life scene and introducing Sunday day time clubbing to the city. In 2003 FK started another residency in his hometown, introducing the world to DEEP SPACE, his weekly Monday night party at Cielo focusing on dub, abstract grooves and spacey vibes.
Fast forward to 2018 & Francois continues to play his own Body & Soul & Deep Space party’s in New York and beyond, whilst touring the world extensively.
He brings his encyclopedic knowledge or soulful music to the cliffs of Uluwatu for what is set to be an epic day of sound, sunshine and good times.
