Cooking for a Cause with SOS

The Scholars of Sustenance recently held a charity event Cooking for a Cause at the W Bali – Seminyak to help shatter the contrast of food availability on the island. With the success of this event, the night set an example as to what the people of Bali can do for others in need. In collaboration with Chirs Sallans, Mozaic Group Bali, the event was filled with Michellin star quality food by Chefs like Alain Caron and Jaques Pourcel, paired with internationally renowned wines all going towards the great cause. The funds raised of over Rp 120 million will be used to help the town of Desa Ban Karangasem and contributing towards the launch of the Ban Basics program, which provides valuable nutrition to those unable to obtain it for themselves. The regions difficult topography will require assistance of the bright and highly motivated young adults in the food distribution team. These adolescents are rewarded for their efforts with the university education provided by SOS. The Scholars of Sustenance were grateful for all the attendees and sponsors being part of this event and the food waste movement. www.scholarsofsustenance.org
