Re-introducing a genre of music to the island, AAAM Sound together with Balinese DJ/producer Agoes are planning to change the paradigm of thinking in regards to Psy Trance. You might have heard of an artist by the name of Armin Van Buren, a veteran in the EDM world who has been playing the genre and started to collaborate with some of the biggest Psy-Trance DJs such as Vini Vici. The genre in itself has gone through a shift and is no longer considered underground or “festival” music. Our neighbours in Singapore, Thailand, Japan, China and many more are embracing the shift on a global scale so why not us? Take some time to listen to some sets from the current DJs playing at Ultra, Tomorrowland or EDC Las Vegas and you will find yourself bobbing your head to the sounds of Psy.
