Breast Cancer Awareness Month : Bali Pink Ribbon Foundation

October is marked as breast cancer awareness month through countries across the globe, raising awareness in the disease through education, the support of early detection and treatment.

The Bali Pink Ribbon Foundation was founded by British breast cancer survivor, Gaye Warren with the help of Bali International Women’s Association to initiate a fundraising campaign, which developed in 2009 as Bali’s first Pink Ribbon Walk!

The foundation’s vision and mission includes educating local communities, assisting the improvement of quality in life and coaching those battling, while promoting and developing programs at Pink Ribbon House which inform, support and empower Balinese women and their families. If you’re interested in supporting this foundation and cause, Bali Pink Ribbon have multiple events for their Pink October including: a charity fundraiser evening on the 12th, “Bra-wareness Day” on the 13th at Mall Bali Galleria, sunrise yoga at The Conrad Hotel for the 19th and lastly a charity lunch at Finns Rec Club hosted on the 25th.
