Hasnor Sidik AKA Mr. Has AKA Rawjak Records is the Singaporean DJ that brought some of the most serious underground club sounds to his city. After spending four years as the music director with Lo & Behold, Mr. Has is currently the music director for Asia Pacific W Hotels, responsible for the what’s new/next in music, fashion and design. Beyond Singapore, his genre-bending sets have given him spots on international decks from Bali to Berlin, Ibiza to London, New York and more. Also known for his ineffable style with fashion, Hasnor has collaborated with designer brands like Prada & Dior and is also on Mr Porter’s Style Council. He lives a jam packed life of music, fashion and parties and he’s on route to our wonderful island. We caught up with him before his set next week, Friday July 1 at Jenja.
Hey there Mr. Has! How is your day going?
The day is ok.
What are some of your biggest thrills you’ve experienced being a famous DJ?
Meeting new people and feeling their energy.
What’s next for the W Singapore? Are you excited about the studio in the W Bali?
We are about to launch the summer pool parties. Definitely! Can’t wait to be back in the sound suite.
What’s your idea of a healthy balanced life?
Eight hours of sleep.

You have any up and coming DJs/producers that you’d like to shout out?
No, but I’d like to shout out to Prince!
How do you keep up to date with all that’s new in music?
Promos and listening to others as well.
Can you name a track that you know you will play at your gig at Jenja next week and have you been there before?
Carl Craig & Green Velvet – Party, yes it’s my third time playing at Jenja.
How do you feel the electronic music scene is evolving in Indonesia and in Asia overall?
I think we are going in a very good direction, we have an amazing talent pool and it keeps getting better.
