Moonlite at the Anantara Hotel is an amazing spot to enjoy some sunset cocktails with friends. The rooftop area has a huge view of Seminyak Beach with Kuta to the south and Canggu to the north. If you love great sunset vistas, Anantara is hard to beat. One great carnivorous menu item to share is their 48-Hour Braised Whole Beef Shank Rendang (995k). It’s a humongous beef shank on the bone sous-vided for the two days and covered in a rendang-like sauce. The imported Australian beef fell off the bone and was super tender. It’s also a sure head turner with a bunch of camera phones coming out after the staff put it on our table. The dish serves four people (or perhaps even a small village) and comes with four sides. We had it with rice, roti canai, and two vegetable side dishes making this a complete meal. So if you want something miles away from ordinary, check this monumental dish out.
