The Deck Restaurant & Bar

Here we are, after another great day well spent in Kuta, at The Deck Restaurant & Bar enjoying some of the yummiest food for an early dinner with a friend. Seated at the table with comfortable couches for our maximum comfort as we had quite a walk around before. There were also long tables around the edge of the restaurant where you can enjoy your meals while watching the hustle and bustle on Legian street. Billiard tables are also available if you fancy some pool, while enjoying your beers.

As per usual, cocktails are always a great way to start so we did just that. I got myself the Polygamy Rp 90K which is mix of vodka, blackcurrant liquor, apple juice, cranberry juice, sweet and sour while my friend ordered himself the Illusion Rp 85K : vodka, coconut liquor, melon liquor, blue curacao, pineapple juice, lime juice. They both turned out to be perfect drinks to refresh!
Our mains were served not long after, Fillet Mignon Rp 105K was one fabulous dish, this grill brushed beef tenderloin steak with garlic oil served with mashed potatoes, buttered vegetables and mushroom sauce was absolutely tender and delicious. I especially loved how perfect the mashed potatoes were. Potato Brava’s Rp 35K was tasty too, deep fried marinated potatoes with Cajun spices and spread with bread crumbs tasting like a tastier version of potato wedges fries. We loved it.

We wanted something sweet to finish, and the waiter recommended Pisang goreng keju & ice cream Rp 40K and Dadar gulung Rp 45K. We took the recommendation and they didn’t disappoint! Balinese fried banana fritters with cheese served with a choice of ice cream was so good, and the Indonesian traditional crepe rolls with caramelized coconut and brown sugar filling which happens to be one of my all time favorites was absolutely to die for. Dadar gulung and pisang goreng never tasted so good!
