After attending a great gym session at Petitenget area, my friend and I wanted to find something close by to eat – yes, we were extremely hungry after sweating it out in training session and looking for something different!
We found Hotel Villa Lumbung right at the major bend of Jalan Petitenget and decided to swing by the restaurant to see what they had on the menu. Loving the cozy set up – we agreed to give it a go, plus they also have a pool table which was an add bonus for us.
The ambiance of the hotel felt a lot like Ubud, except it’s in the middle of Seminyak and despite being situated only a few steps away from a busy main street of Petitenget, the restaurant was surprisingly quite and relaxing.
After settled at the table next to the pool table, I opted to start with the recommended Til Kutal Cocktail – a refreshing mix of vodka, pineapple juice, ginger and honey syrup, a dash of angustura bitter while my partner had a refreshingly sweet Tutty Frutty(guava juice, orange juice, cream and melon syrup) served in a real pineapple cup! Both were awesome drinks to enjoy in between our billiard battle until our Grilled king prawn arrived to the table. This delicious and refreshing appetizer served beautifully with coconut flesh, papaya and pumpkin salad with mango salsa and tamarind coriander was just delicious!
Followed next was Butter leek and potato soup, this tasty fresh creamy soup served with garlic crouton, was totally yum!
Not long after, our main course made it out, which was the Norwegian salmon steak (we were told happens to be their best seller) and it was incredible. This grilled Norwegian salmon served with parsley potatoes, green beans, cherry tomatoes and dill cream sauce – a rich and tasty combination that we loved!
To top it all off, we had Triple chocolate mousse for dessert. This beautiful dessert served with fresh fruits and chocolate sauce was a sweet finish we didn’t want to ever end! The Lumbung restaurant is a great choice in that busy Petitenget area.
