If you haven’t been to Finns VIP Beach Club already, do yourself a favor and go now… You can thank me later.
My friend and I visited at lunch time to see what they have on offer and we were very impressed with the whole set up. The staff escorted us to the Pavilion and sat us at a fine table overlooking the ocean.
We started off the right way. I got myself the Mango Tango mocktail Rp 75K which was not only good and fresh looking – this slushy mix of mango juice, fresh lychee fruit and juice and grenadine also tasted seriously fabulous! My friend got himself a Bali On Fire cocktail Rp 175K, a refreshing mix of Svedka vodka, Cointreau, fresh tangerine juice, local chili, kaffir lime and mint leaves. A glass of water was already being poured as we sat down, the service was so good that the glass never hit halfway. The restaurant has a fantastic menu with an amazing variety of food and drinks and we tried some of the best.
Our starters arrived in pretty wooden platters. Burrata Installata Rp 185K was phenomenal, the fresh burrata melting right in my mouth – so delicious, and came with cherry tomato, marinated artichoke, olive tapenade, grissini and toasted sourdough drizzled with virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar and fresh basil. Ours came with Paris ham Rp 205K – smoked salmon is also available. Our grilled octopus Rp 95K was divine and I especially loved the fresh kimchi it is served with. Truffle & Parmesan Rp95K with sauteed mushrooms, truffle oil, grana padano and arugula was simply yum.
Our quinoa bowl Rp 175K and Spicy tuna rolls Rp135K were served alongside the Chicken Tandoori Rp 175K. Now, I eat quinoa bowl’s a lot and I can safely say this one was done perfectly, especially since it’s filling was some of my favorite ingredients like shredded chicken, roast pumpkin, edamame, grilled halloumi cheese, pickled ginger, water spinach, kale pesto, cashews, pine nuts, spring onions, coriander, coconut oil and lime. The spicy tuna roll was fresh, spicy and delicious, which is exactly the reason why I wasn’t sharing a slice. The Tandoori chicken was absolutely beautiful, marinated chicken thigh was tender and delicious – loved what they’ve done with it, we decided to get beef vindaloo Rp 275K and garlic naan Rp 45K – I promised to share this time. The braised wagyu beef beef brisket in its spicy and aromatic sauce was so juicy and tender, perfect to pair with the garlic naan – it was sublime, we both absolutely loved it.
Time for dessert, I treated myself with a Lemon tartlet which was refreshingly sour, sweet, creamy and simply delicious. My friend had a yummy Dark chocolate tartlet with 70% valrhona chocolate with peanut praline and topped with vanilla ice cream, sweet sweet end to our fabulous lunch. Both desserts are Rp 65K.
We both were totally pleased with our dining experience, it’s not often you can get equally amazing food from different ethnicities at the same place. Pavilion at Finns VIP achieved that plus more. It was probably one of the most exclusive dining experience we’ve had.
The bottom line is, you can expect a next level experience on everything at this newly minted Finns VIP Beach Club. You could call it the ultimate vacation goal where you can dine and laze by the ocean with nothing short of spectacular views, with the best service and cusine.
