Date For 2 : Salt @Eastin Ashta Canggu

The conveniently situated in the heart of the action, Salt Restaurant at the Eastin Ashta Resort Canggu is a casual yet elegant spot, perfect for a quiet lunch date in the midst of the Canggu madness. Since it’s opening in August there has been an influx of tourists and expats interested in the food and chilled out pool vibes in front of the resto. Salt is influenced and inspired by the most widely used seasoning in the world, salt. Experience the taste of different salts such as Hawaiian and Himalayan imbedded into various dishes throughout the menu, as well as a few wild card choices to spark your senses.

We began our loving feast with healthy juices Green Hulk (45k) and the Hot Detox (45k), as well as ordering some entrees and some of their vegetarian options, cause if you aren’t trying to stay healthy you don’t belong in Canggu. The Patatas Bravas (50k) and Tuna Shake (75k) came out first, the latter of the two is basically the menu’s most instagramable dish and apparently popular with the boomerang feature, as you have to shake your tuna salad in its jar and pour it into a bed of lettuce. Cool and tasty.

Then came the Falafel & Tzatziki Burger (60k), which was surprisingly juicy for a vegetarian burger. The signature and succulent Baramundi En Papillote (80k) arrived shortly after followed by the Miso Saikyo Gindara (90k) – a soft and delicious Japanese marinated butterfish that melted in the mouth and worked a charm with the accompanying sauce and diced chorizo. Recommended!
To finish off the mains we ordered the Chicken Leg Sous-Vide (70k) which was cooked to perfection just as the menu claimed.

Finally, it was time for dessert and we opted for the Red Velvet Lava Cake (60k) served with mixed berries and yoghurt ice cream. A delicious little treat to end a grand lunch date. If you are travelling through the Canggu area, we hope you stumble across Salt at the Eastin Ashta Resort.
