Date For 2 : Artichoke at Radisson Blu Uluwatu

Nestled on the cliffsides of Uluwatu, the Radisson Blu’s all-day fine dining restaurant Artichoke caters for all palates with a range of cuisines and delectable flavors. Whether you and your partner are in the mood for Asian, Western, something healthy or want to feast on a huge buffet style breakfast, Artichoke prides itself in being on top of the food game in the Uluwatu area.

Entering the estate, you are welcomed by a magnificent view looking over the pool and onto the sea further away. Restaurants Artichoke and Filini (their Italian) sit adjacent to each other with tropical vibes adorning the surroundings, making for the perfect photoshoot under the sun! Let’s get into the food…

Since opening in February this year, their expansive menu has stuck to its roots, but as of mid-December there will be a few modifications/additions and we we’re lucky to be one of the first to try the new selection. We opted for an (almost) meat-free tasting, as my partner is pescatarian and I want to start cutting meat out of my diet. Artichoke we’re more than prepared for our request. We started off with The Blu Power Bowl (135K), Tuna Tataki (110K) and Mac & Cheese (135K) w/artichoke. These first few dishes came out looking spectacular and were simply delicious. The Artichoke Mac & Cheese was a favorite between us, definitely coming back for that one! As we washed down our first course dishes with the elegant Passion Fruit Ice Tea (50k) and Rosemary Citrus Spritzer Cocktail (120k) it was time to delve into the next round. The Chickpea and Quinoa Burger (145K) and Chicken Quesadilla (95K) came together and were devoured leaving enough room for dessert.

Artichokes dessert menu homes in on classic treats but gives them a refined twist that elevates them to a whole new level. The Kintamani Coffee Crème Brule (80k) and S’mores (75k) were the perfect ending to our sweet lil date. Not to mention our romantic walk down to the beach below. If you’re looking for a tasteful lunch date and complete day in Uluwatu look no further than Radisson Blu.
