Renata Ayu Oorbeek presented her brand, [Re] Intimates for the first time in Bali on February 14, Valentine’s Day, at Think Pink Nails on Jalan Batubelig. The lingerie show called “Reappear” featured designs exclusively made in the color black with touches of gold details. “I chose black because it’s elegant, mysterious and sexy,” Ayu told the beat. “The concept of this collection is strong but delicate with the use of soft materials such as lace and velvet, not only on the fabric, but also the straps, which has become the identity of this brand.”
In attendance were some of the more notable fashionistas from around town and I asked her, how did the show go down with them? “It was amazing, I sold 16 sets and everyone was so happy with my product. I couldn’t believe the enthusiasm, it was beyond what I expected. One lady thought that my brand was from France because of the style and the quality,” she enthused.
Ayu first graduated from Esmod Jakarta, then did a two year master’s degree at ITB Bandung before moving back to Bali late last year to continue developing her lingerie brand, [Re] Intimates.
