Fridays at Ulu

Fridays have just got a load better on Bali’s southern peninsular.
The Beat had a quick chat with DJ Joshua D. about his new night at Ulu Cliffhouse that has already been bringing busy crowds to the cliff top venue down in Uluwatu. First we asked him what it’s called it’s all about?
Joshua: The event is called “Ulu Cliffhouse Fridays” and I’m the creative director and resident DJ for the event.
Well, tell me more. What happens on Fridays?
Joshua: The event is about good house music, cheap drinks and basically creating a big weekly party that will be a staple on the weekly Bali circuit. With half priced drinks we are aiming to attract a wide audience. Off the back of the Rip Curl Padang2 Surf Comp after-party that had almost two thousand people attend and was off the hook. We all want more of that for sure.
Yes, I saw the pics of that event right on our instagram account, @thebeat.bali. So how is that going now?
Joshua: It’s already attracting big crowds and it’s only going to get bigger. As it’s such a large venue there are big possibilities to make it even bigger than huge. As you know, Uluwatu area beach clubs and parties are on the rise rapidly, basically becoming world renown, and we plan to make this event bigger with big sponsors for the events and bringing huge international acts in too. At the moment myself and Dr Wallis are the regular DJs and if you love your house music, you’re in the right place.
We will have some more info on this event later, so check back soon. Meanwhile, it’s on this week at Ulu Cliffhouse, so why don’t you take a look for yourself.
