Chef’s Rec: Queen’s Tandoor Indian Xpress

Hey Beat foodies!

Thearosa here with a brand new “Take Away of The Day”.

If you’re feeling the need to spice up your meals at home, check out “Indian Xpress”, a new delivery concept by Queen’s Tandoor.

Queen’s Tandoor has long been a Seminyak go – to for those seeking an authentic Indian cuisine experience. With years of service and a vast menu that dazzles with fragrant recipes and flavors, the team has kindly sent us some of their best-selling dishes!

Indian Xpress’s menu proudly showcases North Indian delicacies, and so we started off with their vegetable samosa (Rp. 30. 000) – a delightful, warm pastry appetizer that consists of potato, pea and carrot filling, all mashed together with cumin seeds and curry paste. We then tucked into the biryani (Rp. 55. 000), a national treasure cooked with simple vegetables, chicken and an abundance of immune boosting spices, namely black cardamom, star anise and cloves, that all enhance a bold and distinct taste into the basmati rice grains.

Next up we have the star of the show; the butter chicken (Rp. 55. 000)
Every bite of this dish was blissful and flaunted such fragrant, aromatic flavors. In addition – the portion size was huge, with generous amounts of chicken, marinated in garam masala and doused in its rich sauce.

All of this was accompanied by side naans (Rp. 20 .000) and complimentary poppadoms, with fresh condiments such as mint and mango chutney, as well as pickled onion.

All in all, our Indian Xpress experience was nothing short of a celebration, with vibrant flavors and rich spices in every dish. Queen’s Tandoor dine in will re- open on the 23rd of June 2020.
