Artisan Day-Out. This weekend at Plataran Canggu

Plataran Canggu will be holding their third Artisan Day-Out this weekend on December 5 and 6 with this edition’s theme being Revisit the Tradition, featuring an art & craft market, tattoo, food, live & electronic music, and loads of fun for all ages.

This time around, Plataran will be collaborating with various local artists and performers including Due Hatue (Fuad Machmud and Muhammas Siddiq), Teater Kalangan, Pohon Tua Kreatorium, Rajuk Suara (Jembrana), I Gede Yogi, Ramdan Syah, and Ni Wayan Handoko. There will also be several musicians (bands and DJs) contributing their talents and voicing their aspirations.

The Artisan Day-Out weekend endeavours to bridge and combine several creative elements from local artists and the messages that are born from their creativity. With a pop-up market local artists or creative entrepreneurs join together to not only preserve but also to develop Indonesian culture. The general public is invited to remember, enjoy and revise the traditions of Indonesia and its people.

Divided into two days, Artisan Day-Out is full program of Indonesian cultural themes. On both days of the event, workshops will be held by various artists including Umbu Nai Riku, Saturday Morning Painting Club, Todjon, Tempakultura, Bartega Studio and live art performances from the likes of Yogi & Kadapat, Septa & Nata Suara, Ping Pong Puppet Gore, Philosophy & Arma, accompanied on Saturday with DJ sets from Masayu, Kazuya (Japan) and Maira Killa. On the second day, Sunday, workshops and other creativities, including live painting will be presented throughout the day and evening, with DJ music assistance from Ican Harem, Maira Killa, Erman, Neudaance and live band action from Treudy, Manja, Soul & Kith, Soulfood, and Modjorido. Also during both days the artisanal market will be full of an array of fine art and crafted goods from local makers and artists to peruse, take home or perhaps become the perfect Christmas gift. Safety Protocols will be adhered to during the event.

Plataran Corporate Event Manager, Fauzi Lyanda told The Beat magazine, “Plataran Canggu hopes that the Artisan Day-Out weekend can provide visitors and art enthusiasts an excellent day out to experience Indonesia cultural heritage and traditions, with some modern twists, and with the correct safety and health aspects prioritized.”

Plataran offers a beautiful venue with plenty of greenery and complete facilities such as restaurants, swimming pool, bar and private rooms to cater all your needs. The event hours are Saturday 12 noon to 8pm and Sunday, 12 noon to 10pm.
