Born and bred in Birmingham, UK underground star Ashique Subhan aka Subb-an found himself in the right place and the right time while the new dawn of Birmingham clubbing was rising. He started his career at the now legendary Below Sunday raves at Rainbow Courtyard and has been a looming presence since the mid-2000’s.
Subb-an has crafted a unique sound that merges the likes of techno, house and minimal in a way that simultaneously sounds tough, sensitive, raw and enticingly deep. It’s a sound that is ahead of its time and shows his firm understanding of and confidence in his productions, with early releases on labels like Crosstown Rebels, Cocoon, Cabinet Recording and Beste Modus.
His signature sound has seen him become a global regular at clubs like Fabric, DC10, Panorama Bar, Stereo, Warung, Amnesia and festivals such as Glastonbury and Detroit Movement. Catch him live this weekend!
