Marc Roberts | Sunday June 5

Woo Bar | Sunday June 5
With a DJ career going back over 20 years, Marc Roberts is one of those DJs who creates a path purely on performing, not productions. Hailing from the UK, his journey began when he was taught to mix acid house in a ski resort in late 1988. Starting off in these late days of acid house, through the sounds of early 90s, right up to the present, his sound mirrors all of these eclectic influences, while maintaining a distinctly contemporary edge.
Where you might have heard them
While holding down a residency at Digital in Newcastle, Marc has also made appearances at seminal clubs, including Watergate, Fabric, D-Edge, The End and Chinese Laundry, as well as festival appearances at Kazantip, Creamfields and Global Gathering. He has also appeared at the closing party of We Love Space in Ibiza and El Row Sundays in Barcelona. When not performing, he is responsible for curating lineups for club shows across Europe, as well as the lineup for the Austria’s Snowbombing.
Notable tracks
Though he does not really produce any specific tracks, his SoundCloud is filled with his mixes which he generally does every few months and is titled by date.
Why see them
Whether playing at London’s seminal clubs or some of the most famous festivals in the world, it is his level of experience and eclecticism which has seen him playing alongside acts as diverse as Skream, Carl Cox, James Zabiela and Groove Armada. Head down to Woo Bar at June 5 to see him live.
