Claudia Jaramillo | Friday June 24

A Club | Friday June 24
Roots
Hailing from Colombia, but already living in Indonesia 14 years, Caludia Jaramillo is more than just a pretty face in the dance music scene. She’s been expressing herself through music and dance since she was 12 years old. That was the age that she entered the entertainment industry, learning the ropes, but now, she is a uniquely talented and sexy DJ, model and performer with an increasingly bright future.
Sounds
House, progressive house, techno
Where you might have heard her
This DJ has the credentials to thrive in the music industry due to her willing-to-learn attitude. Coming to Indonesia initially to model she began to DJ at the same time. Enjoying Latin-infused sounds at the beginning gave her sets a certain latina vibe, but now she has moved onto a harder techno style. However she’s still full of surprises. Seemingly living in la vida loca, the crazy nuances in each of her songs will make punters go crazy.
Notable tracks
If you have not listened to her music before, go to her mixcloud or soundcloud pages to get onto her latest sets and podcasts. Claudia has gone the distance to reach out to house music fans and especially to Latin aficionados by combining these two major genres in her sets, and has over the past few years been moving more towards a more progressive house and techno sound.
Why see her
Having been performing at various events and festivals in Asia, most notably in Indonesia and Bali, she knows what clubbers here would like to dance to and hear. Get ready for another round of pumping techno beats by this Colombian DJ when she heats up the dancefloor at A Club on June 24. You will be able to hear her sounds on 98.5FM Thursday before the show.
