Roots
Chantal Dewi is an Indonesian model and DJ. She began her career as a model, partaking in the scene for 15 years and was hired in a number of Asian countries to walk for designer brands. Aside from her busy schedule as a professional model, her dream was also to become a DJ. After she graduated from DJ school, she immediately became a member of 1945MF and started pursuing a career in the music scene.

Where you might have heard her
Her modelling career has taken her to Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, Seoul, Amsterdam and Jakarta, doing catwalks for designers such as Giorgio Armani, Chanel and DKNY. She also has appeared on the cover of magazines as well as the video clips of Indonesian bands such as Java Jive and Nidji. In the dance industry, she was named Rookie DJ of the Year at Paranoia Awards 2011 and Uprising DJ of the Year at the same awards in 2013. She also placed #7 Best Female DJ by Indonesian lifestyle portal, Wolipop.

She has released sounds on Mixcloud which include tracks like “Last Call”, “Delay Impulse”, “Tuesday Morning”, “Destination Unknown”, and “Gone Dark and Mystic”. These tracks hover around progressive house and techno and are well worth a listen.
