Time just keeps on passing by. We are already in July and things are getting busy. The streets anyway! The weather is not giving up the mini wet season we’ve been experiencing lately, but I do feel it is gonna clear up soon – or so the weather forecast says.
Last Friday we had a blast at Savaya with Sam Feldt banging out his fun EDM stuff. The last time I saw him was at the now defunct Envy club on Eats Street maybe 2017. The interesting thing about that was that he was with his father, who we ended up having a drink or two with while enjoying the show. Things seemed more innocent back then. Sam has definitely grown up since but we were still doing the same thing last Friday night, having a drink enjoying the show. Some things just don’t change.
Last night we had an invite to try a relatively new restaurant called Osteria Della Terra in the Perenenan area. It is on Jalan Raya Tiyingtutul just after the intersection with Canggu Raya to be more precise. I must say it was outstanding classic, New York style, Italian dining experience right there on the side of the road in Pererenan. I tell you, that part of Bali is just simply mind blowing nowadays with how stylish it is becoming. The Della Terra restaurant is a passion project from four partners that hooked up together over the years in the culinary world of Hong Kong and decided to start something in Bali. It’s nothing less than another tale of Bali magic in motion and I am very happy to see it. Sometimes it feels many people are coming to these shores nowadays for their own personal avarice and aggrandisement, holding out in some luxury villa somewhere, with no one really knowing what they are doing, so it is always awesome to see people arriving with their passion, talent and making something real. There will be a full food review coming soon.
Let’s hope the sun begins to shine soon. Have a good weekend, you all!
