Strange old weather we are experiencing lately. Normally, in my opinion, anyway, this time of year is by far the best weather — normally dry days and nights, light winds, and not so hot! But this past couple of weeks is rather unseasonal with a lot of rain about. Such a shame for those holiday makers here for a week or so, let’s hope it clears up for them soon. The saving grace is that most of the rain is falling at night, so it could be worse.
However, the island does need more water. There is much talk of a water crisis as house and villa bores have to reach deeper and deeper with literally, each day more development happening everywhere all over the island – not just the southern part. You could only imagine how much water a large resort would go thru too and how many of those are being built? The mind boggles.
Also, on the up side, my garden definitely needs extra water too, and most probably yours, so having a bit of rain around is well received by everyone living here! We are not complaining.
So what’s hot this weekend in Bali? As always it depends what you are in to. You want some underground all nighters, some live music, maybe some hip hop? It’s all there in the Bali Events pages. I suppose my pick would be a little techno down at Red Ruby, or maybe start your Saturday with some organic vibes at Sardine, but if you are down Uluwatu way, there is plenty of choice for you down there, too.
