Let us hope the weather begins to play the game. I don’t think I can recall a wetter start to December but there you are, you just have to deal with it. It is the wet season after all. At least it is cooler. Many local people love this time of year for that reason, as it is cooler. You just have to put up with the rain and occasional flooding. Funny, it has just started to rain again as I wrote those words on this Friday morning. Hopefully, it is only a short shower.
Tonight we have a party. The Beat mag and The Beat Radio Bali present the Befores Christmas Party at The Social in Petitenget. Let me explain what Befores is first. That was a Friday DJ show we used to put on at a resto called Kasera in Kerobokan during Covid. We had a good time with old and new buddies turning up to enjoy the music. Because it was all about the music – and beers of course. After everything around town opened up again, everyone got too busy and Befores faded away into the Covid ether. So, tonight, Friday 20 December we are back with some tunes, but at a new awesome spot for us right on the first bend of Jalan Petitenget The Social. Things kick off around 9pm and there are plenty of shots, drink and food promos. Please come down and enjoy the fun.
Above are pics from last week; The Amavi Coco Properties event and our latest stroll down Batubelig Beach a few days ago to see what has transpired. The last photo is from before they started the ‘improvements’ – it was a kind of natural wonderland back then.
With the rain last week things were pretty slow, but we did manage to get to the new restaurant in Berawa, Amavi, which was rather impressive, big indoor and outdoor area with a swimming pool. There was a lot of fun people there and a freeflow whiskey made it even more fun. We kicked it on all night long from that point.
Christmas is next week. Actually 5 days from now. Gee, that came up quick. So, as you can imagine, there are plenty of shows coming up, and some quite big ones.
