As my date and I arrived, the waiter seated us at a lovely spot by the water fountain with a bonfire on top – kicking off an evening that only got better as the food arrived.
Starting off with fabulous looking appetizers that tasted just as fabulous, both my man and I especially adored the Garlic bread (85K) that was soft and delicious. The Arancini (65K) was another delight, with the risotto fritters with cured ham, mozzarella, spinach and spiced tomato sauce always making a perfect starter. My Carne e Formaggio (315k) was my personal new favorite. The wooden plank consisted of marinated mozzarella, scamorza, tellegio, salami calabrese, parma ham and bresaola olives, it was too good! In between the bites, I had a refreshing Filini Darancio (50K), which is a mix of fresh tangerine, mint syrup, lime juice and mandarin sorbet.. sweet, sour, so fresh and so good! My date had an equally refreshing Filini Tropicale (50K) with fresh passion fruit and passion fruit sorbet in the mix, which he loved.
Our mains were served next, Filini Pizza (145K) was just perfect. Topped with white sauce, tellegio cheese, roasted garlic, thyme and mixed mushrooms – slice after slice we finished off the tray in a quick time, simply yum. Agnolotti (135K) was also fantastic; a flavorful bowl of ricotta, burnt cauliflower, black truffle cream and gremolata crumbs was served with such a beautiful texture and a totally spectacular taste. Our Pumpkin Gnocchi (55k) was a great compliment to both our meals!
Next up, the Tiramisu and Chocolate Chocolate was up to end this amazing dinner in a sweet way. The Tiramisu was lovely with a rich and classic creamy flavor. My partner’s Chocolate Chocolate which was a warm chocolate cake with almonds and vanilla ice cream was scrumptious and long gone before I could take a second bite. Both desserts are priced at (70K).
Filini opens daily from 5.30pm – 11pm offering a wide variety of food and beverages for an unforgettable Italian dining experience. Find also a wide selection of wine from across Italy, both exclusive and affordable classics displayed beautifully in the cellar for you to choose from.
