In Celtic mythology, AWEN is known as a symbol of creativity, balance, and inspiration. When singer-songwriter AWEN chose the name, she unknowingly embodied its meaning. Born in Paris to a French mother and a Malian-Senegalese father, AWEN navigated between worlds—balancing a legal career in Hong Kong and her passion for music. After her father’s passing in 2016, she returned to France to pursue music full-time, blending Afro-house with spiritual depth.
Her breakthrough track, “”Your Voice,”” written for her unborn son, became a global hit, eventually remixed by Adam Port. AWEN’s powerful stage presence and unique Afro-house sound continue to captivate audiences worldwide, with hits like “”Gold,”” “”Kusimama,”” and “”Time”” (with Christoph).
