Balinese street artist, Slinat, currently takes over the space of Rumah Sanur Creative Hub for his showcase called “I Lope Bali”. In this showcase, he presents works that focus on technique and material exploration as he is interested in using environmental-friendly materials and reusable materials. Technically, he adapts the wheat paste process that he normally uses when making street artworks. This technique is then adapted for his displayed artworks, applied with secondhand materials like old traditional fabrics, woods and cardboards as the media. Here, he also explores his drawing skill with a ballpoint on an old and yellowed children’s coloring book, as well as using spray paint that has been cracked on a used drum cover and employing the China ink on canvas.
