Part of The Lokha Ubud Resort, Villas & Spa, Wos River Spa is perched on the steep banks of Wos River. Enjoying a dramatic location, it is bound to provide their guests a one-of-a-kind spa experience which also includes green surroundings and the sounds of nature. Besides four standard treatment rooms on its upper level, this spa also houses four open-concept treatment pavilions which are complete with bath tubs, showers and couches.
FEEL
After sipping on our refreshing welcome drink, our therapist led us to a treatment pavilion, and here was where the journey began. What we had on that day was the Riverside Escape (628k), a two-hour treatment package which kicked off with a Balinese massage. After making sure that we were positioned comfortably, our therapist began the massage with a stretching to warm up our body, followed by a firm yet gentle acupressure that was precisely applied on the pressure points to relieve the tight and tense muscles. Only a few minutes into this massage, we drifted into a deep, relaxing slumber. After receiving this massage, our therapist introduced us to the next step which was body scrubbing. Utilizing a special scrub that mixed jojoba and chamomile, it was really a lovely scrub. What we loved from this was that it did not leave that oily residue that some scrubs do; thus, it felt so much more comfortable as it was not greasy at all. The whole session ended with an express facial, consisting of the application of anti-stress eye lotion, followed by face cleansing, exfoliating and moisturizing. Upon our departure, we were once again treated with a cup of warm tea, getting us ready to face the rest of the day with a totally recharged body and mind.
INGREDIENTS
For the massage in this treatment package, Wos River Spa offers two aromatherapy oils for guests to decide. The options are Energizing Oil which is made from rosemary, basil and lemon, and Relaxing Oil from lavender and orange. The rest of the treatment uses products by Pevonia, an elite, organic skin care line which is known for combining effective, safe and natural ingredients only.
