The Spa at Segara

This spa is one good option for rejuvenating experience in Sanur.
LOOK
The Spa at Segara lies on the lush garden of Segara Village Sanur, located precisely just beside the hotel’s Byrdhouse Beach Club. Despite its tiny size, this spa is incredibly cozy, fenced with huge glass windows that let natural light in. This ambience is coupled with shades of green which are inspired by the tropical nature of Bali, adding a sense of serenity to the spa. The Spa at Segara has two single rooms and a couple’s room, plus three treatment chairs which are used for foot reflexology, manicure and pedicure.

FEEL
Among other offers, we were interested to try their “Customized Package” (starting from 400k). As this package allowed us to customize our own treatments, we chose the traditional Balinese massage, facial and foot reflexology. Our whole experience started off with a foot bath, using a cool combination of warm water, lime and peppermint for cleansing. Moving to the massage table, we started our first session with gentle stretching, followed by acupressure on all parts of our body. We were then asked to sit down, and the session was ended with deep pressure on our back. After the relaxing session, we moved to the second session which was the facial. This facial involved cleansing and peeling, continued with the applications of toner, massage cream and mask, plus a little face massage. After it was cleaned with a cold towel, we got our face reapplied with toner and moisturizer for the final, brighter look. Finalizing our spa experience, our therapists got their hands on our feet for the reflexology. This session had us in a total bliss, with therapeutic strokes and pressure applied gently and deeply. In the end, it was indeed a relaxing two-hour experience, just what we wanted.
INGREDIENTS
For massages, the spa offers three kinds of aromatherapy, frangipani, coconut and green tea. For facials, there are options for natural treatments which use cucumber as its basic ingredient, as well as for anti-aging treatments which use aloe vera. Finally, the foot reflexology employs massage creams which are less greasy.
MAGIC
Who doesn’t love relaxing treatments, plus a nice ambience to match? Furthermore, the smiley staff, nice view, cool sea breeze, soothing melodies and pleasant aroma of lemongrass in the air will ensure you to come back for more.
