Commonly visited by millennials and solo travelers is a smoke and alcohol-free space called Serenity Eco Guesthouse & Yoga located in Canggu, just five minutes from the beach. From the moment you step foot in their grounds, you already feel the holistic, communal atmosphere.
It first opened its doors as a guest house in 2009 and a year later their main studio, The Shala was built. With over ten yoga classes a day in five specially built studios at Serenity you’ll be sure to find something suitable for every taste and level. There are classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced and an array of styles including Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin, Restorative, Power Yoga, Fly High and Aerial Yoga. There are also yoga teacher training programs several times a year with accommodation provided!
Also be sure to inquire and attend their community and donation based classes from which the funds are directed to the non-profit, independent organization Yayasan Senyum (The Smile Foundation of Bali). Other popular workshops include Gong Meditation, Japa Mantra Meditation and Tibetan Singing Bowls sessions as well as the Life Coaching Workshops on Monday and Tuesday mornings.

The core values of the space are to show respect and be harmonious with nature and all human beings. The owners place much importance on being mindful about best utilizing the potential of the land without harming it.
Their restaurant Alkaline, located at the entrance, serves deliciously healthy and organic meals made from ingredients which have been grown in their own garden. With conscious living comes the idea of sustainably growing your own food which is why all around Serenity you will find traces of permaculture and educational signs about the plants growing inside and the benefits they bring to our bodies.
