Anantara Spa

Anantara Spa punches well above its weight when it comes to overall experience
Look
The spa at the Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort is nestled on the top floor of the resort and boasts a number of amenities. The lobby is cozy with a cool natural feel about it with numerous spa products smartly arranged in shelves that line the walls. The treatment rooms are cool with excellent climate controls leaving you to be treated in optimum temperatures. They also include a shower, stone tub, and a closet so that your treatment is completely self contained in a single room.
Feel
We chose their Half Day Wellness Program which goes for Rp 1.5 million and includes, yoga, a full spa treatment, and a two-course lunch. A 60 minute hata/vinyasa yoga session on the deck on the beach in front of the pool at the hotel started things delightfully with a limbering of the body. The actual treatment started with the obligatory foot massage which was pleasantly scrubby and minty towards the end and moved onto the massage bed. The massage itself was a 90-minute Balinese Spa Detox which was designed to eliminate toxins and get rid of cellulite. The massage was firm and got deep into the tissue and lymphatic system which felt very cleansing. This was followed by an ancient Balinese body mask and head massage. After using the in-room shower, we were treated to an amazing two-course meal which was selected prior to the treatment. The meal we picked included cashew hummus and flaxseed crackers and sake steamed barramundi with wakame and soba noodles, both of which were extremely satisfying taste, and health wise. The meal also included a healthy juice which was absolutely delightful.
Ingredients
The body mask utilized mineral rich kaolin clay with beautifully aromatic spices and bark. The mask is designed to draw out toxins and nourish skin cells back to health.
Magic
Anantara Spa’s attention to deal is almost unrivalled with excellent climate control and a selectable playlist. The playlist included a contemporary Chill Out and a very ethereal Dream State playlist. Other playlists included Grounding Element (natural sounds), Eastern Harmony, and Soothing Spa Rhythms. We thought this little extra thing was such a nice touch and truly complemented the sensory spa experience.
