The Ubud Writers & Readers Festival 2017

One of the more intellectual festivals of the year, The Ubud Writers & Readers Festival returns to Bali for the 14th time! The Festival is a platform for meaningful exchange to take place, between artists and audience in a cross-cultural dialogue spanning over five days, from October 25 – 29. First conceived by Janet DeNeefe as a healing project in response to the first Bali bombing, it has now progressed into a community event where folks can discuss shared inspirations, ideas and concerns transcending cultural and geographical borders. This year’s theme is “Origins” and will showcase a full line up of speakers from Indonesia to Iran, Canada to South Korea, Pakistan to the Philippines and all the countries in between. Expect to see a massively diverse melting pot of authors, artists, thinkers and performers as well as hands-on workshops, art exhibits, markets and much more! www.ubudwritersfestival.com
