Ngurah Rai International Airport was officially re-opened for international flights and travelers today, Thursday 14 October 2021.

However, it was reported there have not been any international flights arriving or departing Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport until this afternoon.

In regards to this, an airport spokesperson said that the airport had not yet received an application for an international flight slot from any airline to be served at the airport, however this could still be in process.

We would imagine Garuda flights in particular could be making easier connections via Jakarta in the near future.

On the other hand, Taufan said that the airport had made various preparations to welcome the reopening of international flights.

The spokesman explained preparations had been made to help the flow of passenger arrivals.

International passengers will take a maximum of 1 hour 30 minutes from their arrival until they check out at the exit control desk counter to go to their quarantine hotel.

This time includes the time to wait for the results of the PCR test which must be carried out upon their arrival at Ngurah Rai Airport, he said.

Meanwhile, it is almost official that 19 countries listed below will be allowed to fly direct to Bali.

Saudi Arabia, UAE, New Zealand, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, China, India, Japan, South Korea, Lichtenstein, Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Poland, Hungary and Norway.

Meanwhile, travelers from other countries, including those outside the list of 19 countries, can still enter Indonesia via Jakarta or Manado, following the required quarantine and testing provisions.

No circular yet but promised for today.
