What better way to see great movies than at the annual Balinale: a weeklong film festival featuring the best local and international flicks set on the island of Bali. On September 24 – 30, Balinale will celebrate its 11-year anniversary and carry the relevant theme of “Connecting Communities”—and they’re welcoming submissions! All genres are accepted be that independent features, documentaries or shorts, and the entry fee is waived for Indonesians to encourage growth of the domestic film industry, whereas submission fee waiver requests for foreigners will only be reviewed between June 1 – 7. Go to www.balinale.com for further details.
