VIN+ Karai Martini

Barman: Tuta
For those spicy hounds, this cocktail might be on your list. A unique take on your classic martini, VIN+’s “Karai Martini” (125k) is a classy-looking concoction, sure to make you ask for more after a sip of it. According to the barman, Tuta, this concoction basically means ‘spicy martini’ as ‘karai’ itself means ‘spicy’ in Japanese. It is named in Japanese as it uses umeshu, a traditional Japanese liqueur made from ume fruit, which is then mixed with vodka, passion fruit puree, apple juice, honey and, of course, muddled chili. The result is a unique combination of sweet and sour, with smooth tinge of chili heat flowing down the throat afterward, creating a warming aftertaste. Coupled with the sweet aroma of passion fruit, we would say this cocktail tastes different indeed, but quite exciting and addicting. Last but not least, as Tuta said, you can also request the spiciness level of your martini with more or less muddled chili according to your tatse. Just ask him for it, and he’s ready to mix it for you.
