The Astor Diamond Champagne Brunch

Occupying the most alluring spot inside the The St. Regis Bali Resort, Kayuputi restaurant allows you to admire the cascading waves of Nusa Dua while you pamper yourself with Asian-influenced cuisine backed by a world-renown wine list. In fact, this outstanding restaurant has earned many awards with over 400 exclusive vintage wines from the best regions in the world. Beside from an excellent selection of wines, they also offer a superior brunch experience too.

Presenting one of the most celebrated interior designs of any fine dining restaurant in Nusa Dua and Bali, the name Kayuputi is translated to ‘white wood’ in Indonesian. Basking in a contemporary vision of white, a decor that is reminiscent of private estates found in The Hamptons, an exclusive New York Beachfront enclave, Kayuputi’s interior dining room is perfectly modern with a mesmerizing backdrop of the Indian Ocean. Kicking off at 11 am and going until 3 pm, the first thing you enjoy is a series of pre-brunch cocktails with an assortment of delightful hand crafted canapes served by the white-clad expertly trained staff. At noon sharp, marked by an impressive wielding of the sabre, the brunch delicacies are ready to be delivered. First served at our table are some freshly baked goods from the oven. Then comes amuse bouche ranging from Sturia vintage caviar to trio of oysters served in various styles and seasonings. During the feast, an endless amount of tasteful morsels are paraded by the staff while we relax on our seat and enjoy chatting with our loved ones. Among the many courses served, the highlights for me were the Duck Foie Gras Terrine, with sour cherry and wild berries, Roasted Peking duck breast with Asian greens and sweet spiced duck sauce, and Lobster Gratin with Mushrooms and Asparagus. Thereafter, desserts were served in a trolley carrying a fine selection of sweets including the signature cake “Bois Blanc”, homemade praline and macaroon. To end the ravishing brunch experience, Astor Diamond Chocolate Soufflé was presented in company with Cinnamon infused cream anglaise, and “Kintamani” tangerine sorbet.
