Marisqueira Bali, if you want the best seafood.

New to Berawa, Canggu is the seafood restaurant, Marisqueira. Marisqueira is the place to be for seafood lovers who want to experience local seafood, cooked simply, but dressed to their own desire.

As marketing and part owner, Cinta Ramlan Nunes told The Beat, “Western cuisine seafood has to taste like the ocean, bringing the flavours of the sea onto everyone’s plate. At Marisqueira guests can choose how they want the seafood cooked; bioled, steamed, grilled or sautéed, with many choices of dipping sauce on the side, from Balinese Sambal Matah to Mediterranean Lemon Butter Garlic sauce.”

The Portuguese styled Marisqueira fills the gap for people looking for a natural and simple way of preparation and enjoying seafood, which hasn’t been available in this part of Bali until now. Cinta’s Portuguese husband, Jorge, who is also a great part of this Marisqueria story, has masses of experience in F&B and a love of making fish tank aquariums since a child. This helps to guarantee the quality and freshness of the live seafood that is fished out of the tanks and served direct to the table. The flavours are authentic and the value is extraordinary.  On our recent visit we ordered the Seafood Platter which consists of 250 grams of lobster, 500 grams of oysters, 500 grams of mixed clams, 250 grams of mixed prawns and shrimp with 5 choices of dips. Priced at Rp 350k it is not only delicious but super value for money.

Marisqueria provides the freshest of seafood, dipping sauces and a great selection of wines, in a quaint, clean ambiance, with seafaring touches in a part of town with loads of style and grace. They are right near Macan.

If you are looking for great, fresh seafood, no need to go any further, try out Marisqueira today.
